Track Hosts CCSU Blue Devil Invite on Friday
The Central Connecticut track teams celebrated Senior Day and competed in the Blue Devil Invite on Friday.

Track Highlights:

Christian Malave notched a PR in the 1500m with a time of 4:05.67 to place first in the event.

Edward Williams Jr and Kenny Agwu competed in the 110mH finishing first (14.25) and second (15.95).

In the 400m dash, Cole Robertson ran a time of 50.61 to take first place in the event.

The Blue Devils had three athletes land in the top three of the 100m dash. Tristan Burke took first (11.00), Jamar Alcena placed second with a PR (11.03), and Jordan Jackson placed third (11.22).

Jamar Alcena placed first (22.72) and Ryan Newberry took second (22.78) in the 800m.

In the 800m four Blue Devils notched PRs and five finished in the top five. Aidan Budge placed first (PR, 1:52.27), Ryan McCauley took second (PR, 1:52.99), and Salvatore Masciarelli finished third (PR, 1:53.92).

In the 3000m run four Blue Devils notched a PR. Yankarlos Diaz placed first for Central Connecticut with a PR and time of 8:28.41. Mark Rodriguez finished fourth with a PR time of 8:42.30.

The 4x100m relay team consisting of Jordan Jackson, Edward Williams Jr, Maxwell Czarnecki, and Noah Colangelo placed first with a time of 41.99.

The 4x400m relay team consisting of Cole Robertson, Kymoy Phillip, Ryan Newberry, and Aidan Budge placed first with a time of 3:26.54.

The 4x400m relay team consisting of Chris Abbey, William Dalles, Ryan McCauley, and Christain Malave placed second with a time of 3:32.37.
Field Highlights:

Sophomore Jackson Decker took home first place in the Javelin with a 47.28m throw. Kyle Martin placed second with a 41.08m throw.

Kyle Wimbush and Nicolai Yanko tied for first (1.85m) place in the High jump with a 1.85m leap.

Senior, Tyrone Mack took home first place for Central in the Shot Put with a 15.11m throw. Quincy Davis placed third with a 13.78m throw.

The Blue Devils will compete and host the Northeast Conference championship on Saturday, May 4th. Day two of the championships will be held on Sunday, May 5th.
