Men's Track & Field Competes at Day One of the The RU Scarlet Knight Open
The Central Connecticut, men's track and field team competed on day one of the RU Scarlet Open on Friday.

First-year Noah Colangelo placed 5th in the 400m (49.27).

Maxwell Czarnecki ran a 50.37 to finish 10th in the 400m.

Gabriel Kwarteng ran a PR in the 600m to place 3rd (1:20.2). Chris Abbey also ran for a PR in the 600m to finish 8th (1:22.16) for Central Connecticut

Jacob Ireland took 1st and ran a 2:24.3 in the 1000-meter run.

Graduate transfer Samuel Whittaker placed 3rd in the mile (4:12.76).

Yankarlos Diaz hit a PR in the 5000-meter and placed 8th (14:49.98).

Tyrone Mack placed 6th in the weight throw (14.45m) while Angelo Pisacreta placed 9th in the weight throw with a PR of 14.21 meters.
The Blue Devils will compete on Saturday, February 3rd in more track and field events on day 2 of the RU Scarlet Knight Open.
