Czarnecki Named NEC Rookie of the Week
First-year Maxwell Czarnecki ran well in three events for the Blue Devils earning him the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week nod on Wednesday.
First-year Maxwell Czarnecki ran well in three events for the Blue Devils earning him the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week nod on Wednesday.
Czarnecki recorded a collegiate best of 54.94 seconds in the 400m hurdles. The Connecticut native finished 31st in the Raleigh Relays this weekend and his hurdle time is currently second-best in the NEC. Czarnecki also competed in the 4x400m relay where his team placed 12th. Their relay time stands alone at the top of the NEC (3:16.27).
Samuel Whittaker was named a prime performer after running the 5000m in 14:06.89 at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State. He finished 69th at the meet and has the best 5000m time in the NEC.
The Blue Devils will compete on Sunday, April 7th at the UMass Flagship Invitational.
