Hawerchuk and Dooley Each Card 77 at Patriot Shootout, Blue Devils Finish Third
Sophomore Eric Hawerchuk and freshman Tucker Dooley each shot 77 to lead Central Connecticut in a third place finish at the Patriot Shootout hosted by George Mason. The Blue Devils posted a 393 team total on the par 71 Laurel Hills Golf Club in Lorton, VA. George Mason won the event witha 380. Binghamton placed second at 389.

Senior Tim Buczak and sophomore Sam Pelletier added 78s for CCSU. Freshman Greg Beloin shot 83, and sophomore Tom Ursa posted an 84. The top five out of six scores were used for the team total.
George Mason junior Greg Brouse took home medalist honors with a 72. He defeated teammate and fellow junior Branson Real by one stroke.
Central Connecticut's next competition is slated for Friday, Apr. 10 and Saturday, Apr. 11. The Blue Devils will be playing at the New England Division I Championships on Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence, RI.
