Ortiz Scores In Men's Soccer Loss at Fairleigh Dickinson

The Knights scored three goals within seven minutes of each other to take a 3-0 lead before the 24 minute mark that would last until the final whistle sounded. Serge Zulu, Kenley Mathurin and Paul King each put away scores during the stretch.
Ortiz scored his goal to bring the Blue Devils within two when Cavener found him in the center of the box eight yards out. The sophomore beat Fairleigh Dickinson goalkeeper Majdi Zaineh to score the lone goal for Central in the 38th minute.
The Knights would tally two more scores in the second half, as Dominic Reinold scored unassisted and Dragan Naumoski recorded his first goal of the season on an assist from Fernando Huthmacher.
Central goalkeepers Paul Armstrong and Chris Jones split time and net, with the former recording two saves and the latter stopping four shots in the game.
CCSU falls to 6-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the Northeast Conference.
