Competing as a member of the Western Massachusetts Pioneers, Klukowski scored one goal and assisted on another to defeat the Hammerheads 2-1 and record the team's first win of the season.
Klukowski, a Wiltshire, England native, put the Pioneers in front when he received a pass from Neil Krause and finished on a volley in the 19th minute of play. The midfielder went on to give Western Massachusetts a two goal lead ten minutes later when he placed a corner kick to the far post and found the head of teammate Frederico Molinari. Molinari found the back of the net to give the Pioneers the advantage they would need to hold off the Hammerheads, as they finished the game up 2-1.
Once leading the nation in assists per game at Central Connecticut, Klukowski has remained at the top of his game, as he is currently fifth in the USL Second Division with two assists early in the season. The former CCSU star is also 14th in the league with four total points. The Pioneers are currently 1-5-1 overall and will next host Crystal Palace Baltimore on Friday June 5th at 7:30 p.m.
