Klukowski, Tyrie and Cavener Earn All-Region Honors
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas recognized three Central Connecticut soccer players with All-North Atlantic Region honors. Senior captains Yan Klukowski and David Tyrie received NSCAA/Adidas First Team accolades, while sophomore Robert Cavener was awarded with a third team selection.

Senior captains Yan Klukowski and David Tyrie received NSCAA/Adidas First Team accolades, while sophomore Robert Cavener was awarded with a third team selection.
Klukowski earned all-region honors for the third consecutive season. The midfielder was awarded with a second team selection in his sophomore season and followed it up with a first team honor during his junior campaign. The Wiltshire, England native led CCSU in scoring this season with eight goals and five assists.
Tyrie also was named to the all-region team for the third year in a row. As a junior he received first team honors and received a third team selection during his sophomore season. The Norwich-Norfolk, England native led the Blue Devil defense for four years and had his best offensive output this season, tallying five goals out of the back.
Cavener makes his first appearance on the all-region team. The central midfielder recorded two game-winning goals this season against St. Francis (PA) and Holy Cross on the road. The Tynemouth, England native will return next season to help lead CCSU back to the NEC Tournament.
