The Central Connecticut State University volleyball team dropped the first of two matches at the Yale Invitational this weekend, falling to the host Bulldogs by a score of 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18) on Friday night. Junior captain Amanda Bayer led the Blue Devils with 23 assists and added eight digs in the loss.

Freshman Blaike King and Emily Cochran topped the offensive unit for Central, tallying seven and six kills, respectively. Cochran added 11 digs, while King was one of four Blue Devils with two blocks. Junior Kaitlin Petrella led CCSU with 12 digs in the match. Central falls to 4-8 on the season, while Yale improves to 8-1.
