Snyder Leads Blue Devils Past Holy Cross With Double-Double
Sophomore Lauren Snyder recorded her second double-double of the season and the Central Connecticut volleyball team defeated Holy Cross on the road, 3-2 (23-25, 25-11, 25-15, 23-25, 15-13). The outside hitter's 18 kills were a game high and her 13 digs tied her season high.

Sophomore Amanda Bayer had her best match to date, setting season highs in assists, kills, digs and service aces. Her 43 assists and three service aces were both game highs and the setter added six kills and nine digs in her fantastic night. Senior captain Amanda Olmstead was second on CCSU in kills with 13 and also added seven digs and a team high four blocks in the match. Sophomore libero Kaitlin Petrella led Central in digs with 18.
Holy Cross juniors Samantha Surface and Liz Auger led the Crusaders with 14 kills each. Sophomore Chelsea O'Donnell had a team high 39 assists while fellow sophomore Angela Chisholm recorded 18 digs for Holy Cross.
The Blue Devils are now 3-2 on the season and will next be on
the road for the Harvard Invitational on September 12 and 13 where
they will be competing against Long Beach State, Dartmouth and the
host Crimson. Holy Cross will be hosting the Crusader Classic on
September 12 and 13.
