Babe Earns Academic All-District Honor
Senior Jaclyn Babe earns Capital One Academic All-District Honor.
Central Connecticut senior women's basketball player Jaclyn Babe was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team by CoSIDA. Babe represents the Blue Devils on the team for District One, which includes institutions from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.
Babe has posted stellar numbers as a senior guard for the Blue Devils. She has scored 447 points, which is one more than she scored during her junior season in New Britain. Babe is averaging 16.0 points per game this season and is shooting 43% from the field and 82% from the free throw line.
She has also contributed 80 assists, 113 rebounds and 72 steals for the Blue Devils this season.
In the classroom, Babe is a marketing major with a 3.74 grade point average. She has been a student-athlete at CCSU for the last three years after transferring from Duquesne University.
Babe and the Blue Devils finished with a 16-13 record and a 10-8 mark in NEC play. CCSU will travel to Saint Francis U on Sunday, March 10, for the opening round of the Northeast Conference Tournament.
