Men's Hoops Announces Full 2013-14 Slate
Blue Devils open the season vs. Yale at the CT6 Classic in Bridgeport
Head Coach Howie Dickenman, entering his 18th season at his alma mater, announced the 2013-14 Central Connecticut men's basketball schedule today. The Blue Devils open the season on Nov. 9 in Bridgeport at the Connecticut 6 Classic vs. Yale. Central and the Bulldogs will play at 5:30 p.m.

The Blue Devils will then play a pair of road games before their home opener. Nov. 13 is a trip to Purdue to face the Boilermakers in the first of two games vs. a Big 10 opponent this season. They will then travel to Northeastern on Nov. 16. The first home game of the season comes on Nov. 23 as Rider comes to Detrick Gym for an 8 p.m. start. The Blue Devils will then travel to NJIT (Nov. 26) and Brown (Nov. 30) before coming home to host New Hampshire on Dec. 4.
Central then travels to Ohio State on Dec. 7 to face the Buckeyes for the first time since the 2007 NCAA Tournament. Central is then home vs. Hartford (Dec. 10), on the road at Hofstra (Dec. 15), and then home for two straight vs. Coastal Carolina (Dec. 21) and Albertus Magnus (Dec. 29), before finishing the non-conference schedule at Coastal Carolina on Jan. 3.
Northeast Conference play begins on Jan. 9, and the Blue Devils will play their first four league games at home. Wagner (Jan. 9), St. Francis U (Jan. 11), St. Francis Brooklyn (Jan. 16) and LIU Brooklyn (Jan. 18) open conference play for CCSU, all in New Britain. They will then play four road games at Wagner (Jan. 23), Fairleigh Dickinson (Jan. 25), St. Francis U (Jan. 30) and Robert Morris (Feb. 1).
The Blue Devils host four of the next five league games, before heading to the road for the final three. They play at home vs. Bryant (Feb. 6) and FDU (Feb. 8) before heading to St. Francis Brooklyn on Feb. 13. Following home games vs. Sacred Heart (Feb. 15) and Mount St. Mary's (Feb. 20) Central will travel to Bryant (Feb. 22), LIU Brooklyn (Feb. 27) and Sacred Heart (Mar. 1) to end the regular season.
