Morabito Tabbed NEC Rookie Of The Week

Juliana Cancellieri was tabbed an NEC Prime Performer

Central Connecticut State University cross country's Mya Morabito has been named the Northeast Conference Cross Country Rookie of the Week. Juliana Cancellieri was also recognized with NEC Prime Performer honors.

Morabito made her CCSU debut at the LIU Fall Festival and ran to a 23^rd place finish, helping CCSU to a fourth-place team standing. She finished the 5K course in 19:59.8. Morabito was the fifth rookie, and top NEC rookie, in the race.

Cancellieri was the Blue Devils top finisher on Saturday, placing 11^th with a run of 19:26.5.

The Blue Devils are back in action on September 30 when they travel to the Paul Short Invitational.
