Junior Beth Lloyd Named adidas/Northeast Conference Player of the Week
For the second time this season, junior Beth Lloyd has been named the adidas/Northeast Conference Player of the Week. It was announced on Monday by the NEC office. Lloyd and the Blue Devils clinched the #1 seed in this week's NEC Championship and will host #4 seed Long Island on Friday at 11 a.m. Lloyd finished the regular season with a team-high 11 goals on the season, including 10 in her last 10 games and nine against league opponents.

clinched the #1 seed in this week's NEC Championship and will host
#4 seed Long Island on Friday at 11 a.m. Lloyd finished the
regular season with a team-high 11 goals on the season, including
10 in her last 10 games and nine against league opponents.
Lloyd continued her torrid scoring pace in the NEC, posting four
goals and a pair of assists in a 2-0 week for the Blue Devils as
they clinched the top seed in this week's NEC Tournament as well as
the regular season crown.
Lloyd, who finished the regular season with a three-way league-high
tie of 11 goals - all coming in the last 12 games -, scored two and
added an assist in the win over Saint Francis (PA) at home on
Friday. Those 11 goals ties for the third-highest single season
total in school history. She scored the first goal of the game for
CCSU then later assisted on a goal and scored the final goal of the
game.
On Sunday, she matched her performance from Friday with an
identical five points. She scored the first and second goals of the
game for CCSU in the 4-0 win over Robert Morris and assisted on the
third goal. Nine of her goals on the year came against league
opponents, and she had four game-winners. This is the junior's
second adidas/NEC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honor.
