2015 Cross Country: Placed second at the Northeast Conference Championships (24:57.7) and earned All-Conference honors...Earned Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week honors three times...Won the CCSU Mini Meet and the Ted Owens Invitational...Finished 7th at New England Championships with a time of 24:47.7. 

2014 Cross Country: Earned All-Northeast Conference honors, placing fourth at the NEC Championships (25:52.39)...Placed 11th at the Marist Invitational, crossing the finish line in 19:48.34...Named Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week on Sept. 23 after placing 43rd at the Iona College Meet of Champions with a time of 26:52.03...Turned in a time of 26:36.27 to finish seventh at the Ted Owen Invitational...Ran at the New England Championships and finished in 26:00.85...Placed 10th at the CCSU Mini Meet with a time of 15:13.85...Placed 76th overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional (31:47.9)...Turned in a time of 27:12.2 at the IC4A Championships to place 79th.

Before Central: Comes to CCSU as a transfer from Robert Morris...Hertzog was the 2013 NEC Freshman of the Year in XC as he was the first freshman to cross the finish line in the NEC Championships when he finished in eleventh place...Earned two NEC Freshman of the Week honors...Attended South Westerner High School before Robert Morris where he finished second in the YAIAA Championships his senior year.
