Senior Garth Harrison and junior Lorenzo Baker earned Second Team honors for the Blue Devils. Harrison joins Brackett as an All-Conference pick on the offensive line. Baker, who led the Blue Devils in tackles, earns Second Team honors at linebacker.
The Blue Devils finished the 2011 season with a 4-7 overall record, and a 3-5 mark in NEC action. They finished the year with a pair of victories, including a home win over Robert Morris and a road victory to end the year at Bryant. Central trailed Bryant 21-7, before scoring 35 straight points to end the game and earn the 42-21 victory.
Brackett and Harrison helped lead an offense that led the league in rushing and total yardage in three of the last four seasons. Despite an off year in 2011, Central came alive in the last two weeks of the year, posting nearly 1,000 yards of total offense and almost 600 on the ground. They had their best outing in the win over Bryant on Saturday.
Williams led the team with 13 tackles for a loss, including 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass break-up. He recently earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after the win at Bryant. Williams was third on the team in tackles with 66.
Baker led the team in tackles with 80, including 42 unassisted. He had 1.5 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on the year. Both defenders started all 11 games for CCSU.
