Baseball Begins NEC Play With Weekend Series at LIU Brooklyn
The Blue Devils are the defending NEC Champions.
The Central Connecticut baseball team travels to LIU Brooklyn this weekend to open Northeast Conference play in a three-game series. The Blue Devils (2-5) are the defending league champions and face the Blackbirds (7-8) for three games to begin conference play for both teams. The series opens on Friday (3:00 p.m.), before continuing on Saturday and Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. start on both days.

The Blue Devils fell to UMass, 4-2, in their last contest on Sunday, March 11. Senior Mitch Guilmette launched a pair of solo homers in the game and earned NEC Prime Performer recognition. The Blackbirds had their modest two-game win streak snapped with a 7-6 loss to Manhattan on Tuesday.
