Kaprelyan Earns PrepVolleyball.com Recognition
The junior has won Molten/Northeast Conference Player of the Week for three straight weeks.
Junior Madelyn Kaprelyan was named the PrepVolleyball.com National Player of the Week: Non-Power5. Kaprelyan picked up the honor after leading the Blue Devils to a pair of wins last weekend en route to also being named the Molten/Northeast Conference Player of the Week for the third straight week.
The junior from Huntington Beach, CA, led the Blue Devilsin Friday's win over Fairleigh Dickinson, posting 12 kills, while hitting .375, and added 11 assists for the double-double. Kaprelyan stepped her game up one notch the next day versus Sacred Heart to help CCSU improve to 5-1 in conference play. Over four sets, she collected 23 kills while hitting .410, and added 19 assists, 11 digs, seven blocks and four aces.
She averaged 5.0 kills, 4.29 assists, 2.0 digs and 1.0 block per set over the two matches while also finishing with a robust .397 hitting percentage. She has posted seven straight double-doubles and currently leads the NEC with a .311 hitting percentage while sitting third in kills per set with 3.34.
Kaprelyan and the Blue Devils will be back in action on Friday night when they host Bryant at 7:00 p.m.
