Kim Ties for 10th at NEC Women's Golf Championships, Blue Devils Place Seventh
Senior Deborah Kim recorded her second career top-10 finish at the Northeast Conference Women's Golf Championships. She shot a final round 77 on the par 72 Hershey Links in Hershey, PA to move up five places on the individual leaderboard. As a team, the Blue Devils maintained their seventh place standing. They shot a final round 335, their lowest score of the event, and finished at 1,028 (340-353-335).

Kim finished with an 81-80-77 line to earn all-tournament honors. Junior Natalie Jones came in second on the CCSU roster. After shooting 84-89 over the first two rounds, Jones closed with an 83. She tied for 30th. Sophomore Chelsea Woods, who carded 87s in the opening two rounds, finished with a 90. Senior Kerri Tracy (89-97-85) and junior Lisa McCormick (106-96-97) rounded out the Blue Devil field. Jones, Tracy and McCormick were playing in their first NEC Championship.
Fairleigh Dickinson repeated as team champions. The Knights shot 311-299-310 (920) to win by 23 strokes over Long Island. Sacred Heart finished third at 945. Robert Morris and St. Francis (PA) completed the top five. Mount St. Mary's came in sixth, 38 shots ahead of Central Connecticut. Monmouth, St. Francis (NY) and Wagner placed eighth, ninth and 10th.
FDU sophomore Michele Holzwarth was the wire-to-wire winner. She shot a final round 77 to finish at 223. Holzwarth (74-72-77) held of Long Island senior Natalie Desjardins by one stroke. Desjardins shot 77-76-71. The 71 matched a tournament best. Fairleigh Dickinson had the third and fourth place finishers, too. Junior Eva Mayr (77-73-77) and sophomore Lisa Warrilow (76-78-74) came in at 227 and 228.
