Kim Shoots 80-83 to Lead Blue Devils Through Opening 36 Holes of Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational

The Blue Devils opened their spring season with 36 holes on the par 72 Quail Valley Golf Course in Littlestown, PA. CCSU is currently in ninth place on the team leaderboard. Play will finish with 18 holes tomorrow.

Kim is tied for 18th in the individual standings. Sophomore Chelsea Woods is second on the CCSU roster. She shot 89-90 and is tied for 38th. Senior Kerri Tracy posted rounds of 93 and 87. Juniors Lisa McCormick (94-90) and Natalie Jones (92-102) completed the Blue Devil field. CCSU shot 704 (354-350) as a team.
Towson tops the standings in the nine-team field. The Tigers shot 618 (300-318). They are seven strokes ahead of Fairleigh Dickinson, the best of six Northeast Conference schools through the first 36 holes. FDU has three players in the top-five, including day one leader Eva Mayr. The junior shot 71-76. She is one stroke ahead of Long Island senior Natalie Desjardins, who posted rounds of 77 and 71. The Blackbirds are third in the team standings.
Final round play at Quail Valley gets underway tomorrow morning.
