Women's Golf Finishes Play at Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational, Kim Places 15th
Central Connecticut concluded play at the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational with 18 holes today on the par 72 Quail Valley Golf Course in Littlestown, PA. The Blue Devils finished ninth in their first action of the spring season. Senior Deborah Kim shot a final round 82 to earn a 15th place finish on the individual leaderboard.

After shooting 80-83 yesterday, Kim closed with a team-best 82 today. Sophomore Chelsea Woods followed up her 89-90 performance from yesterday with a final round 92. She tied for 37th. Junior Lisa McCormick closed with a 100 after posting 94-90 yesterday. Meanwhile, fellow junior Natalie Jones shot her second 92 of the event. She carded rounds of 92 and 102 over the first 36 holes. Senior Kerri Tracy rounded out the Blue Devil competitors with a second-day 110 effort. She had shot 93-87 to begin the competition. The Blue Devils shot 354-350-366 (1,070) as a team.
Towson held on to its day one lead to claim the team title. The Tigers posted a two-day team total of 942, edging Fairleigh Dickinson by four strokes. The Knights had the best finish of six Northeast Conference schools in the nine-team field. Long Island senior Natalie Desjardins jumped up one spot on day two to claim medalist honors. She shot 77-71-77.
Central Connecticut will host a tri-match with Hartford and
Boston University this Saturday, Apr. 11, at Wethersfield Country
Club. Tee times start at 12:30 p.m.
