Blue Devils Finish 13th at Rutgers, Sarochova and Kim Lead CCSU
Led by junior Lucie Sarochova and senior Deborah Kim, Central Connecticut finished 13th at the Rutgers Women's Invitational. Sarochova shot a final round 80 on the par 72 Rutgers Golf Course to post a two-day 164 and finish a shot in front of Kim. Kim shot 83-82 for the Blue Devils, who carded team totals of 344 and 343. Boston College collected the team title with rounds of 319 and 310. Lehigh, which held the day one lead, finished second after shooting 317-316. Junior Livia Smado highlighted the Mountain Hawk second place effort with medalist honors. She shot 74-73.

Junior Natalie Jones (87-87), sophomore Chelsea Woods (90-94) and junior Lisa McCormick (108-106) also competed for the Blue Devils. Freshman Kelly Cusson participated as an individual. She shot 92-97 in her first collegiate appearance.
Albany, Bucknell and Fairleigh Dickinson, the top Northeast Conference finisher, rounded out the top five in the team standings.
Central Connecticut will next compete in the one-day Boston University Shootout on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Foxborough Country Club in Massachusetts.
