Ortiz Selected to NEISL Senior Game
Senior Eduardo Ortiz played 63 games for the Blue Devils.
Men's soccer senior forward Eduardo Ortiz has been selected to the 2011 NEISL Senior All-Star Game. Ortiz, a four-year member of the CCSU soccer program, helped the Blue Devils to a worst-to-first turn around in 2011. As Central earned a share of the Northeast Conference Regular Season Title and a berth in the NEC Tournament.
During his career at Central Ortiz played in 63 matches over four seasons. He never played in less than 14 matches in a season and twice appeared in 17 games.
While on the pitch, he recorded five goals and two assists to total 12 points during his career.
Ortiz will join a team of seniors from New England's Division I colleges at this Sunday's all-star game. That squad will take on a team of seniors from Division II and III schools.
The game will be played at the Harvard University Turf Field and will kick-off at 1:30 p.m.
