Men's Soccer Tops Army

The Central Connecticut men's soccer team defeated Army on Saturday night to improve their season record to 2-2. The Blue Devils took the match 2-1, junior Thomas Obasi scored the game winning goal.
The Blue Devils surrendered an early goal to Army's Trent Brown in the 19th minute of the match. The Blue Devils responded when junior captain Jesse Menzies delivered an equalizer in the 31st minute.
Only eight minutes later, in the 39th minute, Obasi delivered the game winning strike. Junior Reece Wilson passed to Obasi who delivered the score from 12 yards out.
Junior Anthony Occhialini locked down the victory for the Blue Devils with a second half shut out. Over 90 minutes in net he allowed only one goal and made five saves. He improves to 2-1 on the season.
The Blue Devils return to action on Friday against Binghamton.
