Men's Golf Fifth, Sebastianelli Tied for Third at Quechee club Collegiate Challenge
Blue Devils shoot 298 in second and final round on Sunday
The Central Connecticut men's golf team shot a second round team score of 298 and finished in fifth place overall at the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge on Sunday. The tournament was hosted by Dartmouth and was played at the Queechee Club in Qhechee, VT. Central shot 290 on Saturday and finished with a score of 588, just two shots back of third place Harvard.
Senior Anthony Sebastianelli shot a second round score of 72 and finished at 143 (-1) for the two round tournament. He was tied for third place overall after shooting a 71 on Saturday. Freshman Joseph Tucker, who held a share of the lead after the first round, shot 76 on Sunday and finished at 146 (+2) for the tournament.
Drexel won the team title (570), followed by Princeton (571), Harvard (586), Cornell (587) and then the Blue Devils (588). There were 14 total teams in the field.
Senior Brandon Raine shot a 75 on the second day on Sunday and finished at 148 in a tie for 23rd place overall. Sophomore Drew Aitken shot 75 and finished at 151, in a tie for 37th place overall.
The Blue Devils had a pair of players playing as individuals in the tournament. Freshman Nick Piersall shot 76 on Sunday and finished at 153, tied for 47th place. Classmate Thomas Downing shot 76 and finished at 158 in 73rd place overall.
