Men's Basketball Closes Out 2020 at Binghamton Tuesday
Central Connecticut men's basketball will close out the 2020 calendar on Tuesday afternoon at Binghamton. The teams will play at 4:00 p.m. on ESPN3. Following Tuesday's game, CCSU will return to conference play for 14 scheduled games. This season in Northeast Conference play, teams will play on back-to-back days to minimize travel. Although fans will not be in the stands, the games will stream for free on NEC Front Row.

CCSU earned a split in a pair of league games against St. Francis Brooklyn last week. The Blue Devils won, 78-59, on Wednesday after limiting the Terriers to 26 percent shooting after halftime. Greg Outlaw and Tre Mitchell lead Central in scoring in all games at 12.5 ppg and 12.0 ppg, respectively. In conference play the Blue Devils are among the top offensive teams, shooting .500 from the field (.449 from three-point range) and averaging 82.3 points, while featuring five players in double-figures.
Binghamton began conference play over the weekend, dropping two games to Stony Brook, including an 80-70 setback in overtime on Sunday. The Bearcats are in search of their first win, but have dropped a pair of overtime contests this season. Brenton Mills leads the team in scoring at 14.4 ppg in all games, while George Tinsley is the top rebounder at 7.0 per game. Binghamton was picked 9th in the league's preseason poll and this is the Blue Devils' second matchup against an America East school this season after facing Hartford on Dec. 4.

• CCSU would claim its first non-conference win of the season.
• Central would close out the calendar year with a win for the second straight season after last winning to end the calendar year in 2013-14.

QUICK HITTING NOTES
• CCSU outrebounded St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday, 35-34, just the second game this season it has outrebounded an opponent.
• Central had six players score in double-figures for the first time since Jan. 27, 2018, at LIU.
• The Blue Devils shot a season-best 20-of-23 (.870) at the free throw line on Wednesday. They were 14-of-15 (.919) from the foul line in the second half.
• CCSU held SFBK without a field goal for the final 9:06 of the game and the Terriers shot just 5-of-19 (.263) from the field in the second half.

Central will return to Northeast Conference play following a break for the holidays. CCSU will play at Bryant on January 7 and 8. Any schedule changes will be announced as they become available.
