Baseball Drops 7-6 Decision vs. Binghamton at George Washington on Sunday
The Central Connecticut baseball team fell to 1-4-1 on the season with a 7-6 loss to Binghamton on Sunday. The game was played at George Washington University. The Blue Devils will finish their weekend trip with a single game against GW on Monday at 11 a.m.

season with a 7-6 loss to Binghamton on Sunday. The game was

Binghamton took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but a
two-run single from junior Mitch
Wells gave the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead in the third inning.
The Bearcats tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth, and then Central
scored one in the fifth to lead 3-2.
Two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning game Binghamton back the
lead, 4-3. Central responded wtih two runs in the seventh inning,
including an RBI single from senior Sean
Miller-Jones. Senior Pat
Epps walked with the bases loaded to drive in the second
run.
Binghamton responded again with one run in the bottom of the inning
to tie the score. After the Blue Devils took a 6-5 lead in the top
of the eighth on a sacrifice fly from Chris
Renzoni, Binghamton answered one final time. They scored two
runs in the bottom of the inning for the 7-6 win.
Senior Dave
Krasnowiecki pitched 5.1 innings allowing seven hits and four
runs while striking out a season-high six batters.
Wells finished with two RBI for the third straight game. He has
driven in six runs in the three games this weekend.
