KEY MOMENTS
- The Fairleigh Dickinson defense came out of the gates on lockdown, forcing four straight turnovers to one basket to start. Amaya Williams and Ashley Berube hit two quick threes that stopped the Knights from running away with the momentum in that moment.
- Berube would score once more before the first quarter ended, but the Knights easily retaliated with some quick baskets to end the first. They rode a 21-10 lead into the second quarter of play.
- The Blue Devils only made one field goal the entire second quarter (another three from Williams). The CCSU defense did a good job of containing the night offense to only 37.5 percent, but FDU was still able to extend their lead and went into the halftime break up 34-16.
- CCSU had another rough third quarter on offense, as Berube and Dejah Jenkins each hit one shot in the third. Free throws from Claire Sutherland-Case was the only other source of offense in the quarter as the Knights ran out to a 57-23 lead.
- Berube started off the final frame with a CCSU bucket, but the Knights lead was too big too crumble. They ultimately took it 72-35.
NOTES
- This is the second game in a row that the Blue Devils were without the servives of Forever Toppin and Belle Lanpher.
- The FDU defense has forced bad shooting nights from CCSU now in both games. Saturday's loss and the January 30 loss to FDU are the Blue Devils' first and second lowest shooting percentages that they've recorded this season.
- For the FDU offense, the inverse is true. FDU's two games against CCSU make up two of the top four shooting percentages that the Knights have shot as a team in a game this season.
- Berube led the way with 13 points on offense.
- The Blue Devils were out rebounded 47-31.
