Men's Track in Action at New England Championships and IC4A's
The Central Connecticut men's track team turned in solid performances at the New England and IC4A Championships on Saturday. Sophomore Aaron Radden's 200 meter performance earned him a spot in Sunday's final.
The Central Connecticut men's track team turned in solid performances at the New England and IC4A Championships on Saturday. Sophomore Aaron Radden's 200 meter performance earned him a spot in Sunday's final.
Radden finished with the seventh best qualifying time in the 200 meter. He ran a 21.55 second time to reach Sunday's final. He also finished in the top ten in the 100 meter with a 10.81 second performance. However, he did not make the finals of the event.
Sophomore Mohamed Hrezi finished 20th in the 800 meter. He turned in a 1:52.21 performance, but did not qualify for Sunday's final.
Joining Radden in action on Sunday will be shot putter junior Rashad Williams.
Yesterday, junior Sam Alexander finished second in the 10,000 meter run.
At the New England Championships, Nick Trifone and Eric Rathbun produced solid performances in the high jump. Trifone finished ninth by clearing 6' 4.75". Rathbun cleared 6' 2.75" to finish in 13th place.
In the 800 meter, Mike Waterbury and Robert Weston finished 15th and 16th. Waterbury ran a 1:55.20 and Weston ran a 1:55.89 to earn their places.
The Blue Devils will return to action tomorrow at the IC4A Championships.
