All-Region, All-Conference selection adds national honor
Central Connecticut men's soccer freshman Conor Qualter has added a selection to the College Soccer News All-Freshman Third Team to his growing list of post-season accolades this season. Qualter helped lead the CCSU men's soccer team to the NEC Regular Season title in 2013, and was one of the top freshman players in the country.
QUALTER NAMED TO COLLEGE SOCCER NEWS ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
Earlier this fall Qualter was named a 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's All-North Atlantic Region Second Team selection. Qualter was also named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year and was a First Team All-NEC selection at the conference's end of the year banquet on November 14.
Qualter was a force on the defensive end of the field for the Blue Devils in 2013, helping Central post eight shutouts on the year and capture the NEC Regular Season Championship.
The first-year player was an NEC Player of the Week selection once this year and is a four-time NEC Rookie of the Week. He scored a pair of game-winning goals in wins over LIU Brooklyn and Sacred Heart.
