Fanion Garners NEC Golfer of the Week Honors
Freshman Dan Fanion received Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week honors for his performance at Central Connecticut State University's first two tournaments of 2010. It marks the second time Fanion has earned the accolades this season, also garnering the honors back in October.
Freshman Dan Fanion received Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week honors for his performance at Central Connecticut State University's first two tournaments of 2010. It marks the second time Fanion has earned the accolades this season, also garnering the honors back in October.
The freshman tied for third at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational and then tied for 16th at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate this week. Fanion recorded a one under par 143 to get third on the Rum Point Golf Course in Ocean City, MD. He then finished in a three over par 145 at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA for his second top ten finish of the week. Fanion did not shoot worse than 73 for a single round this week, with his best 18 hole performance coming with a one under par 71 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invite.
