Trevian Tennyson Commits to CCSU Men's Basketball
Tennyson is Central's first signing for 2019-20.
Head coach Donyell Marshall announced the addition of Trevian Tennyson committing to the Central Connecticut men's basketball team during the early signing period. Tennyson will join the Blue Devils for the 2019-20 season.
"We are extremely proud to have Trey join our program," Marshall said. "He has a great attitude and approach to the game. We look forward to having him begin working with us as we continue to build something special here at Central Connecticut."
Tennyson is a 6-foot-4 guard from Mansfield Legacy High School in Texas. The Broncos have won their first three contests of the 2018-19 season and Tennyson led the team with 24 points in their most recent win, an 81-45 triumph over Irving on Nov. 16.
Tennyson is one of the top players in the state and seen as an accurate shooter who can put points on the scoreboard when he's in rhythm. He transferred to Legacy High School as a senior from Mansfield Timberview. Tennyson helped Mansfield Timberview win a Texas 5A state championship as a sophomore in 2017.
The Blue Devils are back in action on Wednesday night when they face Loyola Marymount at 10:00 p.m.
