The Central Connecticut men's basketball team travels to Georgetown on Saturday night for a 6:00 p.m. contest. The first meeting between the program's will be carried on FS2. Both teams are coming off wins in their season-openers.
The Blue Devils erased a 12-point first half deficit to overrun Hartford, 75-68, on Tuesday night. Senior Tyler Kohl led the way with a career-high 30 points, while adding 10 rebounds. Senior Deion Bute added 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Hoyas defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore, 78-63, in their opener. Josh LeBlanc had 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead Georgetown.
Donyell Marshall and CCSU are coming off a season that saw the program post an 8-win improvement from 2016-17 to 2017-18 and their most overall wins (14) since the 2010-11 season, as well as seven non-conference wins - also their most since 2010-11. Today's matchup marks the second straight season that Marshall and CCSU meet a program coached by another former NBA player. Marshall played 15 seasons in the NBA, while Ewing played for three teams in his career (1985-2002).

FOR OPENERS ON KOHL • Tyler Kohl opened the 2018-19 season scoring 30 points with 10 rebounds at Hartford for his ninth double-double. He scored all of his points after being held scoreless for the opening 10:40. He added five assists, while pouring in 19 points after halftime.
BUTE AND HUGLEY ALSO MAKE A MARK • Deion Bute opened the year, posting his second career double-double with 15 points (6-8 fg) and 11 rebounds at Hartford.
Joe Hugley came off the bench at Hartford to provide a spark with 11 points and has scored 10+ in the last four games.
NORTHEAST CONFERENCE PRESEASON COACHES POLL • Central was picked 6th in the preseason coaches poll at NEC Social Media Day in Brooklyn, NY, at Barclay's Center on Oct. 25.
