Football Falls At Sacred Heart
Howard has fourth 100+ yard rushing game of the season
The Central Connecticut football team fell to Northeast Conference host Sacred Heart, 31-24, Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, CT.
After not recovering an on-side kick the CCSU defense forced a three-and-out and the Blue Devils got the ball back on their own 35-yard line. Two completions moved the ball to the Pioneers 27, but a last gasp pass as time expired fell incomplete.
Elijah Howard ran for 119-yards, his second straight game and fourth overall, with 100 or more yards on the ground.
Harold Miles III had a career-high 13 tackles for the Blue Devils defense. He recorded eight solo stops, 1.5 TFL and a sack on Saturday.
