Women's Basketball Hosts FDU at 1 p.m. on Saturday
The Blue Devils will host the Knights on Saturday at Detrick Gym.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will host Fairleigh Dickinson on Staurday at Detrick Gym. The Blue Devils (7-7, 1-3 NEC) and Knights (1-14, 0-4 NEC) will tip-off at 1 p.m. as the first game of a doubleheader with the CCSU men's basketball team hosting LIU Brooklyn in the second contest.
Saturday is also Alumni Day for the Blue Devil men's and women's basketball programs. CCSU basketball alumni will be recognized during halftime of the men's and women's games. In addition a reception will be held in the coaches suite beginning at 12 p.m.

Today • The Blue Devils (7-7, 1-3 NEC) return home to host Fairleigh Dickinson (1-14, 0-4 NEC) in the fifth game of the 18-game Northeast Conference slate. Today's game is the only home doubleheader for the Central Connecticut men's and women's basketball teams and it is also Alumni Day. Past Blue Devil basketball players are in attendance today and will be honored during halftime. CCSU and FDU met just once last season with the Blue Devils falling to the Knights in overtime on the road.
Up Next • CCSU will visit Sacred Heart on Jan. 20. Following Sacred Heart, the next four games for CCSU will be against St. Francis BK and Mount St. Mary's. The Blue Devils will host the Terriers (1/25) and Mountaineers (1/27) at Detrick Gym before traveling to SFBK (1/1) and the Mount (1/3). CCSU's game against the Mount on Feb. 3 will air live on ESPN3.
Series History • The Blue Devils hold a 17-15 advantage in the all-time Division I series between these programs. CCSU lost to FDU on the road in overtime last season, 55-53. It was the only meeting between the Knights and Blue Devils in 2012-13. Head Coach Beryl Piper is 7-4 against the Knights in her career. Piper has led the Blue Devils to a 4-1 record at home against FDU.

Stat Leader • Senior Jessica Babe leads CCSU in points/game (13.2), rebounds/game (6.3), assists/game (5.1), steals/game (2.2) and minutes per game (33.5). She is the only player in the Northeast Conference to lead her team in each of those categories.
