Men's Cross Country Places 7th at Bryant
The CCSU men's cross country team placed seventh at the Bryant Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team placed seventh Saturday at the Bryant Invitational in Smithfield, R.I. earning 153 points.
Sophomore Andy Pullaro was the first Blue Devil to cross the finish line coming in 12th place with a time of 26:43.90. Pullaro was followed by sophomore Brian Biekert who placed 17th just 16 seconds later. Scoring for Central was rounded out by junior Andrew Hill in 30th (27:42.40), sophomore Joey Farrington in 45th (28:49.50) and freshman David Scheibenpflug in 49th (29:19.50).
Of the nine teams in the tournament, Monmouth placed first with a team score of 61, followed by Quinnipiac (82), Sacred Heart (88), Mount St. Mary's (102), Wagner (117) and Saint Francis (N.Y.) (149). Bryant (176) came in just behind Central at eighth followed by Fairleigh Dickinson (211) in ninth.
The Blue Devils return to action Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Quinnipiac Invitational in Hamden, CT.
