Krell Takes Top Spot at Blue Devil Invitational
Junior John Krell of the Central Connecticut men’s cross country team took the top spot finishing first of 47 runners at the Blue Devil Invitational on Friday afternoon. Three of the Blue Devil runners finished in the top 10 at the meet. Senior Anthony Gonsalves took the sixth spot finishing with a time of 27:17 and Sophomore Andrew Hill finished in eighth place with a time of 27:20.

Junior John Krell of the Central Connecticut men's cross country team took the top spot finishing first with a time of 26:32 at the Blue Devil Invitational on Friday afternoon. Three of the Blue Devil runners finished in the top 10 at the meet. Senior Anthony Gonsalves took the sixth spot finishing with a time of 27:17 and Sophomore Andrew Hill finished in eighth place with a time of 27:20.
Central Connecticut finished in second place at the Blue Devil Invitational. The Blue Devils tallied 46 points behind only Southern Connecticut who totaled 21 points. The home event was held at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain. Also competing in the event was Holy Cross who finished third with 64 points and the University of New Haven who finished fourth with 102 points.
Senior Ben Lazarus, freshman Patrick Hubbell, and junior Mike Waterbury also ran in the event. Lazarus finished the race in 27:49, Hubbell in 28:26, and Waterbury in 28:38.
