Men's Basketball Mourns Passing of Former Player Tyler Kohl
The Central Connecticut Department of Athletics mourns the loss of former men's basketball player Tyler Kohl, 27, who passed away, Sunday, February 12. Kohl spent two seasons (2017-19) with the Blue Devils and scored 1,008 points during his tenure.
"We are saddened to learn of the passing of Tyler," said Director of Athletics Tom Pincince. "We extend our condolences and our deepest sympathies to Tyler's family and friends during this trying time. He was a valuable member of our men's basketball program and CCSU community during his time on our campus and he will always be a member of the Blue Devils family."
In each season with the Blue Devils, Kohl was named an All-NEC Second Team selection and All-NABC District 18 Second Team. He was the 38th Blue Devils to score 1,000 career points and the first to accomplish the feat in two seasons.
