Women's Cross Country Places Third at Father Bede Invitational
Mondo leads the Blue Devils and places eighth.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team opened the season with a third-place team finish at the Father Bede Invitational on Friday in Loretto, PA. Sophomore Madeline Mondo paced the Blue Devils with an eighth-place individual finish.
Mondo completed the course in 20:29 for a 6:36 pace and placed eighth among 74 runners. Junior Victoria Cronin was just behind with a time of 20:32 to place 10th.
Senior Brandy LeClair placed 21st overall and completed the course in 21:02. Sophomore Dawn Hubbell placed 23rd after clocking a time of 21:10, sophomore Morgan Ricci placed 42nd with a time of 22:48.
Central placed third overall with 94 points. Saint Francis U. won the team standings with 30 points.
The Blue Devils will run at the Iona Meet of Champions in Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, Sept. 16
