Women's Cross Country Takes 13th Place at New England Championships
Mendelson leads the CCSU runners and places 19th.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team ran the 5k course at the New England Championships with a cumulative average time of 19:10.6 at Franklin Park in Boston, MA on Saturday. As a team, the Blue Devils placed 13th overall out of 35 teams.
Junior Brittany Mendelson led the Blue Devil runners, coming in 19th out of 234 total runners. Mendelson finished in a time of 18:24.5.
Sophomore Dawn Hubbell was next to cross the finish line, placing 57th with a time of 18:53.9. Sophomore Madeline Mondo and junior Victoria Cronin completed the race in 19:07.5 and 19:33.5, respectively.
Senior Brandy LeClair finished in 19:53.4, while sophomore Morgan Ricci completed the race in 21:30.9 to round out the CCSU runners.
The women's cross country team will next compete at home on Friday, October 21, for their annual CCSU Mini Meet at 3:00 p.m. at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT.
