Ashley Dana Named Track Athlete of the Week
Ashley Dana was named Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Rutgers University Scarlet Knight Open.
Ashley Dana was awarded her second Track Athlete of the Week this year, her fourth in two seasons. Dana has the top time in the 800m after the RU Scarlet Knight Open. Brooke Morabito and Marina Perry were also named as NEC Prime Performers this week. Sam Whittaker was named a Primer Performer on the Men's side.
- Dana competed in the 800m race finishing 5th in the event with a time of 2:11.22. She now leads the conference in the event.
- Morabito finished the mile in a collegiate-best 4:47.53, which is second behind Dana in the NEC.
- Marina Perry took 1st place in the weight throw at the RU Scarlet Knight Open (CB, 15.49m).
- Samuel Whittaker broke a school record in the 3000m run (8:13.05) and earned Prime Performer this week on the men's side.
The Blue Devils will compete on Friday, February 9th at the BU Valentine Invite @ Boston University.
