Women's Track & Field Snagged Seven Top Finishes at the Wagner Invite
Central Connecticut women's track and field snagged 17 top-three finishes at the Wagner College Invitational on Friday to kick off the 2024 season.
The Central Connecticut women's track team dominated the field with 17 top-three finishes and seven top finishes at the Wagner College Invite on Friday. Twelve teams competed at the invite including NEC foes Wagner and LIU.
FULL RESULTS
- Adriana Brathwaite (7.90) finished first in the 60m and Nuchwara Inthasit (8.00) finished right behind her in second place.
- Tamara Rawles finished second (26.27) in the 200m.
- Ashley Dana finished first (2:14.97) in the 800m.
- Brooke Morabito ran a (4:52.50) in the mile to finish first in the field.
- Juliana Cancellieri took home first (10:40.14) in the 3000m and Alyssa Carusone placed third with a time of 11:39.30.
- Alissa Hurd finished second (9.99) in the 60m hurdles and Christianna Morley placed third (11.06). Hurd also placed first in the high jump (5' 3.25").
- The Blue Devils had two top 4x400 relay finishes. The relay team of Kayla Logan, Tamara Rawles, Nuchwara Inthasit, and Adriana Brathwaite finished first (4:11.56) and Aaliyah Walker, Ashley Dana, Mya Morabito, Rachel Bartolucci ran a 4:26.91 relay to place second.
- Erin Egan finished third in the high jump (4' 11.5") and long jump (17' 2.25").
- Aaliyah Walker snagged first place in the triple jump (36' 11").
- Marina Perry took home third in the shot put (34' 8.25") and second in the weight throw (46' 8.75").
Women's track and field will be back on Wednesday afternoon, competing at the Bryant University Throws Competition in Smithfield, RI.
