Blue Devils closed out road dual season in Storrs Friday evening
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team took to the road for a dual meet for the final time Friday evening. The Blue Devils fell 188-111 the UConn
CCSU will host Senior Day, versus URI, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 28th.
- Abbey Keane continued her strong distance performances, coming from behind over the last 300 yards to win the 1,000 freestyle, 10:32.96
- Taylor Demarest placed third in the 1,000, swimming a time of 10:58.13
- Katie Czulewicz gave the Blue Devils a win in the 200 free, touching at 1:52.99, with Shannon Welcome third at 1:55.57
- Cassidy Stotler and Ella Discala went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke, with swims of 1:04.90 and 1:06.33
- Gabi Wroblewski came from 0.5 seconds behind in the final 50 to win the 200 fly at 2:08.52
- Welcome placed second in the 500 free at 5:11.92, while Czulewicz was second in the 100 frestyle, at 53.28
- Cassidy Stotler touched second in the 200 IM, wimming a 2:09.72
- Jewelle Maziarz was the Blue Devils top finisher on both boards
- The Blue Devils won the 200 free relay comprised of Kelly Stotler, Welcome, Czulewicz and Gabby Spaciano with a swim of 1:38.79
