This Week in Blue Devil Athletics - December 15-22
After a finals week hiatus, basketball and swimming and diving make a final push to Christmas
After a short haitus for finals, the Blue Devils have six events in the week leading up to Christmas, with swimming and diving and both basketball teams in action.

Sunday, December 18 - at Hartford; 2:00pm
- The Blue Devils will face the University of Hartford on Sunday at Chase Arena. This will be the 12th time the two programs will face off in history.
- CCSU currently has an all-time record of 4-7 against UHart.
- The last time the two teams faced off was December 17th, 2021. Central came out on top, 73-50.
Thursday, December 22 - at Boston College; 12:00pm
- Central is set to play Boston College the following Thursday at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, MA.
- The Blue Devils currently have an all-time record of 6-3 against the Eagles.
- The last matchup between CCSU and BC was in the 2016-17 season. Boston College defeated the Blue Devils 66-46.

Tuesday, December 20 - Army West Point; 7:00 pm
Thursday, December 22 - at Saint Joseph's; 7:00 pm

- The Blue Devils will be playing Manhattan in the first meeting of the programs. The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 11.
- CCSU will play Army West Point for the first time since Nov. 19, 2011. Central is 3-0 all-time against Army at Detrick Gymnasium.
- Central Connecticut and Saint Joseph's will be meeting for the first time.
- Jay Rodgers was named an NEC Prime Performer on Monday, Dec. 12. He scored a career-high 23 points at Fordham on Sunday

Sunday, December 18 - at CSCAA Open Water National Championship (Miami, FL), 10:00 am
- CCSU will be represented by Katie Czulewicz, Taylor Demarest, Abbey Keane and Shannon Welcome at the collegiate events
- The course is 5,000m in Biscayne Bay
- Team scores are at tally of the top-three individual finishers from each team
- The top-5 finishers will earn a berth to the USA Swimming 5K Open Water Championships.
