McLaughlin Earns Fourth Straight Midfielder of the Year Award; Seven Blue Devils Named to All-Conference Teams
The 2022 Northeast Conference's Women's Soccer Awards feature seven Blue Devils. CCSU took home one individual award, four All-NEC First Team selections, two All-NEC Second Team selections, and one All-Rookie Team selection.

MIDFIELDER OF THE YEAR - ROMA MCLAUGHLIN
Roma McLaughlin was once again named Midfielder of the Year, marking the fourth season in a row that she's taken the award home. McLaughlin has three goals this season, two of which were game winners. McLaughlin was also named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division 1 Women's Players to Watch List and the 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy watch list prior to the start of the 2022 season.
FOUR BLUE DEVILS NAMED TO FIRST TEAM ALL-NEC
The Blue Devils were well represented in the All-NEC selections. Two sophomores for CCSU, Kelly Brady and Kristina Kelly, were honored at the forward and midfielder position, respectively, while two veteran Blue Devils rounded out CCSU's First Team All-NEC selections. McLaughlin joined Kelly as the other midfielder selected, and Delaney Lawler represented the Blue Devils on the defensive side.
TWO BLUE DEVILS NAMED TO SECOND TEAM ALL-NEC
Sophomore forward, Aoife Horgan, and senior goalkeeper, Cailtin Murphy, were both named Second Team All-NEC. Murphy is getting her first Second Team selection in her final season with the Blue Devils.
YEPES NAMED TO ALL-ROOKIE TEAM
Kiley Yepes started every game in her rookie season and has been named to the NEC All-Rookie Team.
In all, seven Blue Devils were honored with either individual awards or team selections. The Blue Devils will be looking to build off the regular season awards with a strong performance in the postseason, starting Thursday at the semifinal game against Fairleigh Dickinson at home at 1 P.M.
