Richardson Named NEC Lacrosse Player Of The Week
Scored five times, with seven draw controls, six ground balls and an assist
Central Connecticut State junior lacrosse player Talie Richardson was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week on Monday. She was joined on the NEC Prime Performer list by seniors Kya Risher and Lauren Valluzzi
Richardson led the Blue Devils to a win over visiting NEC foe Howard in the team's lone game last week. She netted five goals and handed out an assist. She also recorded seven draw controls in the contest, to go along with six ground balls, both game highs.
Risher earned her first win of the year in goal. She started and played the first 49:21 of the game, making 10 saves. Risher also had four ground balls and caused two turnovers in the win. Valluzzi handed out seven assists in the contest.
The Blue Devils travel to Yale on Tuesday before traveling to Wagner for NEC action on Saturday.
