Women's Lacrosse Slowed Against Mount St. Mary's on Thursday
The Blue Devils host Wagner on Saturday for Senior Day.
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team was slowed against Mount St. Mary's on Thursday at Arute Field, falling 16-5. The Blue Devils fall to 2-11 overall and 0-4 in Northeast Conference play. The Blue Devils had five goal scorers in the match and senior Jackie Branthover made five stops.
Central is back in action at home on Saturday against Wagner at 1:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
The Mountaineers built a 13-2 halftime lead en route to improving to 12-2 overall and 4-0 in the NEC. Sophomore Emma Sullivan and senior Carson Adelberger each scored for the Blue Devils in the opening period.
CCSU limited the Mount to three goals in the second half. Juniors Morgan Sinton and Molly Coogan, along with sophomore Kaitlyn Rapp each scored goals the Blue Devils after halftime.
Central will play its final home game of the season on Saturday vs. Wagner. The game vs. Wagner will also serve as Senior Day and is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Arute Field.
