Hrezi Receives NEC Rookie of the Week Honors
Mohamed Hrezi earned his first career weekly honor for his performance at Holy Cross this weekend. The freshman was named Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after winning the 800 meters, as the Central Connecticut men's track and field team placed third at Holy Cross on Sunday.

The freshman was named Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after winning the 800 meters, as the Central Connecticut men's track and field team placed third at Holy Cross on Sunday.
Hrezi's time of 1:52.81 broke CCSU's 42 year old school record. The Naugatuck, CT native broke Bruce McMahon's mark of 1:53.30 set in 1968. Hrezi and the Blue Devils will head back to Holy Cross on Tuesday for another single day meet. He has the third best 800 time in the Northeast Conference this season and will head to the league championships on May 1 and 2 in Emmitsburg, MD.
