Baseball Rally Falls Short at Quinnipiac
The Central Connecticut baseball team fell at Quinnipiac in midweek action on Tuesday. CCSU scored two runs in the seventh and ninth innings but the Bobcats would end the game.
The Blue Devils host LIU for a Northeast Conference series beginning Friday.

KEY MOMENTS
- Quinnipiac scored a run in the first on a double by Kyle Garbowski before CCSU came back with a three-run third inning. Antonio Ducatelli would double in a run and Hunter Pasqualini plated a run on a groundout. Aidan Redahan made it 3-1 on a single to score Ducatelli.
- The Bobcats scored five runs in the fifth to go ahead. Keegan O'Connor had a two-run single and Sean Swenson hit a three-run homerun to make it 6-3.
- Quinnipiac tacked on two runs in the sixth inning before Redahan hit a two-run homer in the seventh to make it 8-5.
- CCSU loaded the bases in the ninth. Jeff Nicol singled in two runs, while the Bobcats cut down a runner going to third to end the game.
NOTES
- Redahan, Pasqualini and Nicol each had three hits. Redahan had three RBIs, while Nicol had two.
- Randy Guzman started and went 4.1 innings for Central. He struck out five
