Valluzzi And Richardson Tally Hat Tricks In Loss At Wagner
Blue Devils fell 19-11 in NEC action on Saturday afternoon
The Central Connecticut State lacrosse team dropped a 19-11 decision to Northeast Conference host Wagner College on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils fall to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in league play, while the Seahawks improved to 2-4.
Five Blue Devils scored goals in the game, with hat tricks from Lauren Valluzzi and Talie Richardson.
CCSU is back in action on Tuesday. March 19th when it hosts Presbyterian on Arute Field. Game time is set for 2:00 pm
KEY MOMENTS
- Bella Santos started the scoring 1:42 into the game with an unassisted goal
- Talie Richardson (10:41) and Shaelyn Yermal (8:57) followed with goals to give CCSU a 3-0 advantage

- Santos scored her second with 12:24 to run, and after a Greco tally with 10:32 to go, Valluzzi scored consecutive goals to make the deficit 16-10 with 4:55 to play
- The Seahawks scored three of the final four goals of the game for the final margin
