Howard moves into eighth all-time in rushing at CCSU
The Central Connecticut State football team opened the 2025 campaign in East Hartford, falling 59-13 Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Devils opened the scoring, on a two-yard Elijah Howard rush 126 seconds into the game. The Huskies scored on the next four possessions of the game.

- The Blue Devils converted early, after a bad snap by UConn gave CCSU the ball on the Huskies five-yard line
- Two Elijah Howard carries later, the Blue Devils led 7-0
- The Huskies scored touchdowns on their next four possessions, including scoring plays of 8- and 73 yards, to build a 28-7 advantage with 8:21 to play in the first-half
- A 27-yard reception by Dave Pardo setup the Blue Devils for a 20-yard Jack Hennessey field goal with 3:20 to play in the half to mark the score 28-10
